The usual reasons I have experienced for failing to delegate -
1. Feeling guilty about overburdening subordinates
2. Associate delegation with negative emotions like anxiety, aggression
3. Fear of losing control
4. Superiority Complex - Feel you are the best for the job & nobody else can come even close
5. Inferiority complex -Insecurity that subordinate might forge ahead.
6. Lack of time- Better to do yourself & get done with rather than teach, monitor, review.
